Angela Buckley (Fund Manager - BTR Sector Lead, LIV Mirvac) and Christian Grahame (Head of HOME) will walk us through their journey and experiences to date, as well as their expectations for the future as the sector continues to grow amid unprecedented interest from overseas institutional investors.

General Manager, Build to Rent BTR at LIV Mirvac
Angela leads Mirvac’s Build to Rent BTR (Multi-Family) function, generating strategic direction and responsible for continuing growth of the business towards a medium term target of 5,000 apartments. She oversees the Australian Build to Rent Club (ABTRC) and future third party capital relationships for Mirvac in this sector, being accountable for the financial performance of each project.
Mirvac is positioned as an Australian market leader and first mover in BTR through end-to-end acquisition, development and long term investment of quality designed properties, specifically with renters in mind. This includes managing properties through Mirvac’s operating platform, LIV, which seeks to generate ongoing, sustainable sources of income through a unique rental experience which is resident and community focused, facilitating significant services and amenities.
Angela is an accomplished real estate professional and leader with strategic, executional and operational experience across retail, office, industrial and mixed-use asset classes. Angela has led cross-functional teams through a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and new business projects, alongside establishment of investment strategies and business transformation projects.

Head of Home
Christian has over 20 years’ experience across Australia, London and the UAE.
In Australia he has held roles with listed and private groups responsible for national development business’, and been involved with the inception and delivery of some of the most awarded residential mixed-use projects and precincts.
More recently he was part of establishing HOME, Australia’s first fully funded BTR developer operator, now the sector leader with numerous projects under development across Melbourne and Sydney.
Christian is a former President of the Property Council of Victoria, and National Board Member of the Property Council - a strong contributor to policy discussion on city shaping, BTR and otherwise.
