The theme for this year's Australia-Japan Innovation Alliance Forum aims to draw on Nagoya's strengths in mobility, advanced manufacturing, robotics and AI. "Smart Society" is about people first, technology second. How can we learn, find solutions, and help each other on common issues such as aged care, flexible work, labour shortage and disaster prevention through innovation, technology and Startups? This in-person event held at the Nagoya Innovator's Garage will be the final instalment of a series of events held throughout the year by the AJBCC Innovation, Technology and Startups Advisory Committee, including 2 webinars; "Unveiling the Japan Opportunity" and "Australia's "hidden gem": Deep tech" held in August and September of this year.

We aim to showcase the diverse opportunities and emerging models in cross border innovation collaboration between Startups, VCs, Corporates, Universities and Governments, and explore how we can accelerate these efforts. The Australia - Japan bilateral relationship has been underpinned by strategic and economic tailwinds, but there is growing recognition that now is not the time to get complacent, and to capitalise on the strong momentum we have built to date.
