The Sports Business Delegation to Japan is a collaborative effort between the Australia Japan Business Cooperation Committee (AJBCC) and the Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN). The visit is aimed at fostering stronger business ties and collaboration between Australia and Japan in the Sports industry.
OVERVIEW
The visit is planned between Monday 21 April to Friday 25 April 2025, as follows:
- Kanto Area (Tokyo and Kawasaki): Monday 21 April – Wednesday 23 April,
- Kansai Area (Osaka and Kobe): Thursday 24 April – Friday 25 April
Program highlights include:
- Japanese market, investment, and business development briefings by Japan market experts in Tokyo and Osaka
- Panel discussion hosted by the Australian Embassy Tokyo's Sports Diplomacy Section
- Tokyo sports business networking event with the Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan's (ANZCCJ) Sports for Business Committee
- Sports Business Networking event hosted at the Australia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka
- Multiple Japan sport ecosystem stakeholder meetings with major corporations including Fujitsu, DAZN, Mizuno, Sports Xebio, Dunlop Sports and sports technology innovators, major event rights holders, sports travel and event providers.
- Site visits showcasing Japan's approach to stadium design and technology, high performance, sport fashion and retail.
- Entry ticket to Expo 2025 Osaka

PARTICIPATION FEE
The fee to participate in this program is AU$3,500 (plus GST) per participant. For details on what's included in this fee, click here.

Monday 3 February 2025 – Friday 28 February 2025: Application submission and delegate selection, payment of participation fee
Monday 3 March 2025 – Wednesday 5 March 2025: Announcement of outcome to applications
