Stephanie manages the team responsible for international scientific engagement, policy and programs for Japan, Europe, Southeast Asia, Pacific and Latin America. This includes leading whole of government coordination of Australia’s commitments under international science and technology treaties and agreements.

Stephanie has worked on a range of international trade and investment programs across government, including in the Department of Treasury, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Austrade, and Home Affairs and in international collaboration at the University of Newcastle.

Stuart Dullard is a partner in Ashurst's corporate practice in Sydney who heads the High Growth and Venture Capital team in Australia and is the global co-head of the Tech M&A practice. Stuart is a key member of Ashurst's FinTech team and authored the chapter on FinTech in the ASX's "Entrepreneur's Guide: Startup | Scaleup | IPO".

Stuart specialises in mergers & acquisitions and equity capital market transactions. Stuart has a particular focus on private equity and venture capital. He has worked on some of Australia's largest and most complex corporate transactions, drawing on his experience working at the Takeovers Panel and in the investment banking team at N M Rothschild & Sons in London.

Yuko joined CSIRO in 2006 as an Executive Assistant to CSIRO's executive leadership. In 2011, she joined CSIRO Global as an Advisor, working in building strategic engagements which amplifies CSIRO's research in global markets. In collaboration with CSIRO's research teams, she has strengthened collaboration in Japan, Republic of Korea and the Americas' market. Since 2021, Yuko has been focusing her efforts in developing stronger engagements in Japan and ROK to support collaborative work in decarbonisation technologies.

In 2017, Yuko led the formation of the Latin America Community of Practice, the first community practice led by CSIRO Global bringing together over 150 staff across CSIRO with interest in collaboration with Latin America.

Before joining CSIRO, Yuko has worked in diverse industries and countries, having held positions in banking, manufacturing, technology transfer and venture capital in Japan and the United States. Yuko has a background in non-verbal, cross-culture communications and languages. She was raised in Japan and Central America, and speaks English, Japanese and Spanish.

n 2007, Steve joined Daiwa Securities Group, one of Japan’s largest investment banking groups. He started in the Private Equity Asia Pacific Division, then moved to the Investment Banking Division. Steve completed an MBA in 2016, in which he focused on impact investments and social impact.

He returned to Japan in 2016, and was appointed Executive Assistant to the group CEO, and moved to Australia in November 2020 and was appointed CEO at Daiwa Capital Markets Australia.

He is currently responsible for the Australian operation including Equity Sales, Principal Investments, M&A, as well as new areas like renewable energy and startups.

He leads their investment into Main Sequence and many initiatives related to Australia-Japan startup and innovation collaborations for public and private as well as universities.

Before this he was the founder of Australia’s first incubator and venture studio, Pollenizer, where Phil played an instrumental role in developing the startup ecosystem across Asia Pacific and advised some of the world’s biggest organisations on practical ways to deliver new growth and the cultural change that is required to get there.

Mark is a highly successful serial entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience in venture-backed technology start-ups as either CEO, angel or venture investor. Today, Mark is CEO of Presien, the world leader in AI solutions for heavy industry OEMs. Mark joined the Presien team at spin-out from Laing O’Rourke via his role as EIR at lead investor Main Sequence Ventures.

Prior to Presien, Mark was co-Founder and CEO of Homeboy, a multi-award winning, low-power Wi-Fi smart home vendor. Homeboy was acquired by United Technologies in 2019. Mark holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Kingston University, England.

Tim York is the CEO of v2food, the leading plant based meat company in Australia and has over 30 years of experience leading companies in the FMCG sector.

Prior to working at v2food. Tim was the CEO at Darrell Lea and Unistraw and previously held senior executive positions at Coca-Cola, Amcor and Ernst & Young. During his career Tim has visited Japan numerous times and spent 18 months in Tokyo managing the integration of the merger Castrol with BP in Japan in 2001/2002.

Tim holds a BE from the University of QLD and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM – UNSW)
