In the event that the number of applicants exceeds the maximum participant capacity, participants will be chosen based on the selection criteria.  We will also prioritise applications from AJBCC / ASTN members and Australian businesses. 

What is included in the participation fee?

The participation fee is AU$3,500 + GST per person.

  • The participation fee includes:
  • All the meetings and events included in the itinerary here. 
  • Interpretation services throughout the program.
  • A Japanese translation of a one-page intro about your company.
  • Bus transfers to and from all program events and meetings.
  • A ticket a baseball game at Tokyo Dome on Tuesday 22nd April. (Subject to confirmation)
  • A ticket to the Osaka Expo 2025 on Friday 25th April. 


  • The participation fee DOES NOT include:
  • Flights to and from Japan.
  • Accommodation.
  • Meals. (unless provided during networking events)
  • Local transport. (Buses, taxis, Uber etc.) 
  • Airport Transfers.
  • Travel between Tokyo and Osaka by bullet train. 
  • Travel Insurance, Taxes and any other costs outside the planned itinerary. 

Is there anything I need to be aware of before travelling?

There are always risks involved with travelling overseas. We encourage you to visit smartraveller.gov.au for more information. 


You will need to share your travel insurance and other insurances, including emergency contact numbers prior to departure. 

What Happens if application numbers are low?

This delegation needs a minimum of twenty (20) participants to go ahead. If we don't reach that number by Friday 28 February 2025, the program may be cancelled. If so, we'll refund your payment in full. We'll make a final decision about whether the delegation can go ahead by 5 March 2025 and let everyone know. 

Sharing the experience

We may share stories about the benefits you have experienced while being a part of this delegation program. 


Please note that we may take photos and videos of you during the visit. By participating, you agree that we can use these for promotional purposes. Please let us know beforehand if you'd prefer not to be included. We will do our best to accommodate your request, however it may be impossible to remove you from all media. 

How is my information handled?

By participating in this delegation, you agree to us to collecting and sharing your personal information for the purposes of delivering the Sports Business Delegation.


We may contact you to facilitate networking and for application evaluation purposes. Your details will also be shared with other participants and Japanese businesses and organisations that are hosting our delegation. 


 

Can I cancel my application?

Once you have submitted an application and paid the participation fee, no refunds will be issued for cancellations. You may however transfer your ticket to a colleague after discussion your situation with us. 


However, in the event of cancellation by us or if your application is unsuccessful, you will receive a full refund of your payment. We will communicate the outcome of applications no later than 5 March 2025.


We advise all participants to secure appropriate travel insurance which may cover unforeseen cancellation events.
